
Phuket is one of the largest islands in the whole of Thailand. It has a total of 576 square meters. So we’re not surprised when it get slightly overwhelming trying to decide where to stay. There are so many options and each place tells you a different thing. So we’re here to help you out and point you in the right direction for where to stay when visiting Phuket.
1. Kamala
If you’re looking for something serene and sophisticated, with a trendy edgy, then kamala is your place. It’s set in the north of Phuket, close by to Surin and Laguna beach. It’s got a beautiful beach, trendy shops, Boat Avenue which is filled with restaurants and even has all the fun beach clubs too. If you want to sunbathe in the day and get wined and dined at night, this place is for you.
2. Patong
If you’re looking for something a little faster pace, head to Patong. Patong is known for its nightlife, with hundreds of bars, clubs and bustling restaurants. The famous Bangla Road is a road that never sleeps, so if you want to ignite the party animal in you, you know where to go.
3. Kata
Kata is a great area for the whole family. It’s right next to Karon beach, and you can travel easily from there. It’s got Kata beach, which is generally pretty busy, and also Kata Noi beach which is quieter and slightly more hidden. Kata has got great markets, street shops, cheap restaurants and all the spas you could ever dream of.
4. Naiharn
Naiharn has one of the best beaches in Phuket. It’s slightly less touristy but attracts more expats. It’s got a huge digital nomad scene, with tons of great cafes too!
5. Chalong
If you’re into fitness or want to get stuck into some Muay Thai, Chalong is your place. The famous ‘fitness street’, Soi Taied is known for its world class gyms and muay thai camps. Everyone is fitness focussed, so you won’t be short on motivation or fitspiration!
